Schedule Your Exercise!
Time is always the biggest excuse to not workout. Making sure to schedule out exercise time during these summer months will help keep you on track all summer long!
Listen To Your Body
Knowing exactly how much sleep your body needs and getting the required amount is extremely important when considering optimal health. Sleep patterns are always subject to change, especially during the summer months. Melatonin tells the brain that it is time to go to sleep and these extended light hours during the summer means that release of melatonin is delayed, so our body doesn’t feel like sleeping until later when it is dark. Even though this is a difficult task, try to stay consistent with your sleeping patterns! Even if it means going to sleep when it is not entirely dark outside.
Heavy meals take a longer time to digest food and the hot summer days will not allow you to take up a load of heavy food. It is a good idea to have lighter meals, especially at night!

Breathing is not just essential for keeping you alive. If done correctly, it may help lower blood pressure and stress levels. Diaphragmatic breathing is a type of deep breathing may help:
• Release serotonin
• Cleanse lactic acid
• Increase alpha brain waves
