Obviously about medication, but also how the body works, nutrient deficiencies, and non-drug options to improve their health. I love that Hometown provides me with so many educational opportunities, so that I can be the best resource for my patients. "

Heather was nominated for this award by one her customers, "Heather and her pharmacy staff is wonderful! We had 4 people who needed covid test to be able to travel to Canada with in 72 hours. They all had different time slots for their test. However when the 1st one arrived Heather arranged for them all to be around the same time (with in 10 minutes of each other). She went above what she needed to to make this work out. Thanks you so much for the what you did!! Support this business when you can!"

Heather has stepped up in a major way during covid-19 and her effort have not gone unnoticed. She has coordinated on site vaccination clinics to help keep her community safe in the convenience their workplace. Her genuine care for her community makes her the perfect candidate for this month's award.

Heather will be given a certificate, commemorative pin, and a gift card to thank her for her hard work. Thank you Heather, for being such a helpful employee to many Wisconsin communities.

Our second recipient this month is Jessica Haufschildt! Jessica works as the managing pharmacist at Northland Hometown Pharmacy in Appleton, Wi.

Jessica's favorite part about working for hometown pharmacy is, "I love to help our patients and their families with their health and wellness.  Hometown has been a great supporter of this!  I think it is absolutely awesome that we have so many pharmacists that collaborate together to educate each other to help patients get healthier and be proactive with their health. Hometown wants to be part of the solution for the declining health of our communities.

She was nominated by a loyal customer who wrote, "Where should I start? Jessica was "my" pharmacist at Shopko on Northland Ave in Appleton for many years. When Shopko closed, my prescriptions transferred to Pick/Save. When I picked up my meds before cataract surgery I knew, not a "good fit." When I learned Hometown was opening and Jessica was the pharmacist, it was easy to move my scripts/insurance. I am 74, have thyroid, HTN, meds. I have cancer/stable and osteopenia. When I get OTC meds, I always check w/Jessica. She always takes the time to explain/consider what is best for me. Her caring, warmth and smile! She is the best!"

Jessica will also be awarded with  a certificate, commemorative pin, and a gift card to thank her for her hard work and dedication to her community in Appleton. She stated, "I grew up in Appleton so it is near and dear to my heart.  I really like this area and that we still have that friendly small community feel.  I feel privileged to serve my community"
